Is everything already "DESTINED" ? Do we really have "CHOICES" ?

Once upon a time , there was a man  , who was lost in a desert.  He had walked over a mile . He was tired as well as thirsty by now . Though after all this , he decided to walk few miles more in a hope to get water around. After waking few quarter mile , he saw a small hut. His anxiety raised and he walked as speedily as one can. Finally reaching over a hut . He saw a small pot , a letter attached to it and a hand pump. He saw water in the pot and so decided to quench his thirst. But before this he decided to read the note . The note said , use this water to fill the pump . Don't forget to fill the water when you are done . 

The man was confused. He had the choice to trust the letter and do as the note said . Or to drink the water kept in the pot. What if the instructions was correct or what if it failed.

He was in dilemma.

 He finally decided to do as the note said . He poured the water into the pump and then started working the pump. To his astonishment , the pump started working.  And now he had water more than required. 

When he was done , according to instructions he filled the pot again . But this time he added something to the note. He wrote , "trust me it works".

From time immemorial , we have been listening about destiny , karma , luck and so on. But are they real ? Is their something like destiny ? Is everything already fixed ? If it's so then where are the choices ? What we can choose about our future when everything is already fixed ? 

If all the above mentioned are correct then when we have choices ? If everything is already fixed then when is our choices going to work ?  

The answer to them is that there are lots of things we can't fix. From our birth its already destined where we will born , to what house we will live , when we will die , how our face will look , how our parents will look and so on. 

But in between all these we have choices . And lots and lots of choices. Everything from our education  to our career to our marriage to our living we have choices. These choices are the one from which we grow as well as fall. 

In the above the story , the man had a choice. He trusted the note and did as it instructed. We all have been in situation like this.  What we could have done , what choices we make decide our destiny. 

Remember a two year old kid , he has choice over to crawl or to walk . His choice will make things different. But he doesn't have choice about the language he will speak . His birthplace to his parents language decide what language he will speak . 

A 17 year old teen has choice either to crack JEE or not. If he work hard then he will lead to the top most college of Engineering . This is the real choice. Here destiny doesn't work.

 But do we have choice over our photographs or over our parents.  The answer is no. 

Choices really decide what we actually are. 

A person committing crime has a choice. What one want to do in his life is made by the choices they takes over year. 

The time of birth and death is already destined as said in Bhagwad Geeta . But in between birth to death we have several options.

These all decide the ultimate goal of our life. 

Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice . Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice . Whatever choice we make, makes us . 

Some people stay together over years and years because of the choice they made to be together. 

We talk luck , destiny and so many other things. They happen only when we make correct choice. 

In the end , that was the choice we made, and it doesn't matter how hard it was to make it. It matters that we did.
