Being Optimistic

We all think about optimism by talking all about whether the glass is half full or half empty . It's turn out that most people have been thinking wrong about optimism. But optimism is far ahead of this concept.

The famous pscycologist , " Dr. Martin Seligman " , researched optimism for many  years . Finally he led to a book, named as , "learning optimism"  where he answered around 48 questions on optimism. 

The Questions:

1.  The project you are in charge of is a great success.
 I kept a close watch over everyone's work.
 Everyone devoted a lot of time and energy to it.

2.  You and your spouse (boyfriend/girlfriend) make up after a fight.
 I forgave him/her.
 I'm usually forgiving.

3.  You get lost driving to a friend's house.
 I missed my turn.
 My friend gave me bad directions.


Optimism is not about being positive or confident . But it's about how we take the past events. And how we evaluate them . The understanding to the concept of learning from past is a part of optimism. 

We all face problems in our daily life. How we react to them is a part of optimism. The act we take during tough times can change our life to a large extent 

Once Larry Elder quoted , " Optimism , it's not just a mind - set , it is Behaviour ". 

Here are few tips on being Optimistic . 

1)  It's never too late to start a new beginning 

No matter how complicated our life is or how everything is falling apart. But every time we have opportunity to grab control over our life. We can take control of our life at any moment. 

2) Respecting the thoughts of oneselves

Though people acknowledge the ideas and creativities of others but what about ourselves. A small amount of contributions and respect can help to set a positive mind set. 

3) Taking care of words 

The way we speak to ourselves become our inner voice. No matter what happens we should always try to uplift ourselves from each and every situation. 

4) Focusing on small steps

Their is no need to climb mountains everytime . Sometimes it's ok to take small steps but indeed impactful one.

5) Learn the art of controlling worry

Every day lots of people face problem . But how we deal with it play a important role. Instead of taking worries and headache , one should try to overcome the problem with general solutions.


No matter where we are or what we are doing , being Optimistic is a need of everyone now. 

Take a balance approach towards life. Make things happen with positive mindset. Learn from past and try not repeating the mistakes again. No matter how tough the situations is , try to solve it with calm and cool mindset.
